Castor oil has a unique fatty acid profile of 85-95% ricinoleaic acid, 2-6% oleic acid and 1-5% linoleic acid. These fatty acids act as humectants which keep the skin hydrated.
Coconut oil contains anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and soothes the skin. The fatty acids in coconut oil help to remove dirt, dead skin and other skin impurities.
Bentonite clay is great for all skin types and is a natural and gentle exfoliant. It has astringent properties that help to shrink enlarged pores which make it great for cleansing skin. (works great as a face wash for problem skin).
Sulphur has been used for centuries in the skin care industry for its antimicrobial properties. Sulphur has a good reputation with acne sufferers because it helps to dry up excess oil from the skins surface which also results in the removal of dead skin cells.
